Natsu on Route 103 Part 2

Carvanha was grinning underwater, and as Maru was slowly heading towards shore, he had to be quiet. Before Maru could really hear him, he'd come from below and was Biting hard, Maru screeching in anger and pain as the piranha thing bit deep into his stomach, but he doesn't do much else as he can't really reach Carvanha with his Icy Wind, the energy washing over his back, but doing little damage. After a while, Carvanha lets go, and dives right back into the water. Things don't look well for Maru, he's hurting quite a bit, but he can still fight, even as Carvanha leaps from behind with a Tackle, Maru is ready and easily Icy Winds him away. However, as this round of battle ends, Maru's looking very badly beaten as Carvanha...

looks just as fresh as before? What the hell is going on here? and what will Natsu do now?

Everything didn't look too well for Maru, as Carvanha quickly Tackles him from below again, but once again the Marill strikes back, launching an Icy Wind into this Carvanha's back, but being in the water, it doesn't do much. However, Maru slides back, and noticing something, launches another Icy Wind at a lunging Carvanha, which misses him this time. As the Carvanha dives back into the water, Maru points to something under the water, but as he catches his breath, he suddenly feels very apprehensive, as he can hear something that Natsu cannot. He's taken less damage this time, but everything is not well regardless...

Natsu calls out as Carvanha lunges again, but this Bite only being a passing nip, Maru glares angrily at the fish before backing up onto the shore. Meanwhile, Natsu wonders on just what is going on here?

Things get interesting, as Maru finally gets back onto land, but as he does, Carvanha leaps onto his tail and Bites hard. Maru squeals, but stays calm as he blasts Carvanha with a supercharged Icy Wind, and as the Carvanha flies back, Natsu finally notices what Maru had in the water. Instead of one Carvanha, there were now three!

Natsu was a bit shocked at the deception, but really wasn't sure what to do, as at a whole, Maru was far worse than the three, but there wasn't enough time as all three begin to slowly creep into the shallows. It wasn't clear, but it seemed that all three wanted a piece of Maru, and they weren't going to let anything get in their way. There wasn't enough time for Natsu to recall Maru, or even send out some help, but Maru was ready for action, if injured, trying to figure out which Carvanha would attack first.

What would Natsu do now?

Maru wasn't worried, but as he launches another Icy Wind, he notices that being so spread out didn't really do much, and as the Carvanha close in, he quickly tries to leap away, but fails, falling to the soft sand behind him. However, before the Carvanha could rip him to shreds, a gold figure appears, in a burst of sand from underground, the figure appears to be an Azumarill, but other than the few patches of gold, it looks to be a complete wreck, full of scars and tears. Even with it's injuries, the Dig it had used surprised all three Carvanha and he easily blasts all three Carvanha away with a Hydro Pump, before he turns to Natsu and nods slowly. Pushing the semi-concious Maru to the beach, he grins before sprinkling both you and Maru with a short Water Gun before he dives back underwater.

Natsu is a bit stunned by this, but as Maru is revived by the water, he leaps up, looking around for what saved him. Confused, he simply slumps down, if a bit confused by it all, until he notices a wet patch on Natsu's bag. Pointing it out, Natsu opens his bag to find that old TM ready for use, and clean. But as Maru looks at it, he simply doesn't say a word as Natsu reads it and puts the picture together. The TM is useable, but it seems as it's kind of special for Maru. As the situation is over, everything is calm, but Natsu must decide on what he should do now...

but what can he do, from the rapid series of events that have just occured?"

Maru Gained a Level!

TM Bubblebeam obtained!

It was a bit confusing to Maru, but obviously his trainer had seen something that had gotten to him, and leaving him some privacy, he dives into the water, not sure what was going on. But then he saw the gold colored tail. Maru was stunned for a bit, but as he looks again, the tail was gone. Not really saying much, he resurfaces to see his trainer walking away, and crying out surprised, he quickly runs back to him, and listens to the speech. Maru had started to suspect something, and his trainer had seemed to confirm what he thought he had seen after he'd been blasted by that final attack. At any rate he was sure that he'd be back here one day, and that everything would be fine. Regardless he grins as he follows his trainer back to Oldale Town.
