With a new Pokémon partner in tow, and a fresh smile on your face, you stroll back into the lovely grasses of Route 201. Here you can find many interesting and new Pokémon, and now that you have a partner, you can stroll through the thick grasses without much trepidation. If you are lucky, you might even stumble upon some rarer Pokémon, or even berries, which many find useful on their journeys.

With his new friend, Chimchar, following, Sal left Lake Verity and returned to Route 201. Now that the battle was over, Sal was able to fully appreciate Chimchar. It was small and rather cute; a perfect first Pokémon in Sal’s eyes. Not to mention it was even a Fire type, which made it decidedly cooler. He breathed a sigh of relief as the atmosphere became rather calm.

“Well, with that battle over, I guess it’s back to Sandgem Town then. I hope we get to keep these Pokémon, because this Chimchar is really cool,” Sal said, exaggerating the Pokémon’s qualities a little out of pure excitement for finally meeting a Sinnoh Pokémon, and he looked back to the Chimchar, who was walking along quite happily.

Things are a bit interesting, as Sal and Chimchar reached Route 201. However, the fact was that for losing Barry, they really didn't know where to go, but at any rate Chimchar was a bit motivated, running off of the path to somewhere, and Sal simply follows, before the two continue to run through the forests. However, Chimchar looks a bit lost after a while, with two paths running somewhere, so what should the two of you do now?

OOC: When I obtain Chimchar, is its gender selected for me, or can I choose?

Chimchar seemed a little too excited, as it ran off in front of Sal. “Hey, wait up Chimchar!” he called out as he ran to try and keep up with it. Soon, the chimp stopped, as it came to a fork in the road. “Well, this is great. Without Barry, we’re completely lost…” he said. “Well, with Barry going who knows where, we can only follow our noses,” Sal sighed, and he chose the left path, and began to walk down it, with Chimchar following obediently.

OOC: you can choose, at the moment it's assumed female though.

The thing is that being so far off of the path, this seemed to be a good area, but as they continue walking down the path, they hear a screeching of anger, and to Sal's and Chimchar's surprise, they find a Gilgar stuck in a bush. Meanwhile, next to Gilgar were a few berries, you can't tell from here, but as Gilgar tries to reach a few, you could tell that they were safe to eat, so just what will Sal do now?

Sal felt rather sorry for the Gligar, so he picked some of the berries, giving one to Gligar, one to Chimchar and keeping one for himself. He then tried to help the Gligar out of the bush, looking around inside the bush before Gligar out. He finally ate the berry, and sat down to take a small rest while Chimchar ate.

At any rate, Gilgar was a bit happier that someone had tried to help it, and that it got to eat a berry as well, but as Sal gets a closer look, he finds that these berries were Oran Berries, and after a while, both Chimchar and Gilgar look a bit more refreshed, but still catching a break, he tries to think on how to get Gilgar out of that bush. He looks and notices that Gilgar's wings are really the only things stuck, but he needed to catch his breath first. What will Sal do now?

Sal stored the rest of the Oran Berries he had found in his backpack, figuring they would be useful in the future. He then set about trying to free the Gligar’s wings. He pulled at the bush, trying to pull the wings away, with Chimchar waiting to get moving. I really should hurry this up and get back to the lab… he thought to himself, but at the same time he couldn’t leave this Gligar alone just yet.

The thing was that Gilgar actually gets one wing free, and within a few seconds, the two managed to pull Gilgar out of the bush. Very happy, Gilgar shakes hands with both Chimchar and Sal before flying overhead. However, as they notice where Gilgar was going, they see a town in the distance, even as Gilgar continues to lead them overhead. It was confusing as to what Gilgar was doing in that area, but neither Chimchar nor Sal cared, but both were grateful as Gilgar helps them find Twinleaf Town. But now that they had gotten there, what should they do now?
